SYDNEY (AFX) - Housing finance by volume in April rose a seasonally adjusted 0.4 pct to 48,007 units from March and was up 15.8 pct year-on-year, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said. In March, housing finance by volume rose 10.1 pct from February. The median of analyst forecasts was for a rise of 1.3 pct in April, with expectations ranging from a fall of 4.0 pct to a rise of 7.0 pct.
